The city, capital of a splendid natural region, is located in the fertile plains of the Tajo and Alberche rivers.
A city so beautiful it was once given as a wedding gift to a queen. Alfonso XI presented it as a gift to Doña María of Portugal upon their marriage in 1328, and since then, the city has borne the name De la Reina. Today, the city looks to the future without forgetting its past.
