Medina del Campo
Medina del Campo is a city in the province of Valladolid, with a rich historical and cultural heritage. Its imposing Castle of La Mota—a prime example of a medieval fortress—and the Church of San Antolín, one of its principal religious monuments, stand out. Medina del Campo was an important commercial center during the Middle Ages, which is reflected in its Plaza Mayor and the Abastos Market. Medina del Campo is distinguished by its comprehensive schedule of events and activities throughout all twelve months of the year. It is known as “the Town of Fairs,” where the Imperiales y Comuneros Fair stands out, as do the Fairs and Festivities of San Antolín with their famous Traditional Bull-Runs, as well as more commercially oriented events such as the Furniture Fair, the Crafts Fair, the Local Products Fair, and the one organized around the D.O. Rueda Wine Route.
