The city of Antequera stands out as one of the richest in architectural heritage in Spain. It holds the highest number of churches in the country relative to its population, boasting a total of 33 churches, monasteries, and convents spread throughout the city, some from the Renaissance and others from the distinctive Antequeran Baroque period. It is also home to one of the great attractions of the province of Málaga: the Antequera Dolmens Site, made up of five monuments—three cultural and two natural.
